Under indirect supervision, reviews and/or administers mental health and substance use screenings. Provides comprehensive case management services to incarcerated persons. Collaborates with community providers to facilitate referral and linkages to necessary resources upon release. Conducts clinical evaluation/assessments including identifying diagnosis. Provides crisis intervention services in a high-intense environment, which requires a high degree of independent decision-making. Communicates with law enforcement and other professionals to ensure the success of the program. Monitors and follows up as required.
Special Attributes: Strong evaluative and clinical assessment skills needed. Must be able to get along well with other professionals to build collaboration in the work environment in community and jail setting. Must have the ability to gain information, make assessments and build rapport with consumers. Must work independently while making sound decisions
Education and/or Experience: Must be able to demonstrate 1 year of experience conducting screenings, providing case management services and/or working with persons in the criminal justice system. Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required.
Certificates, License, Registration: Must be able to demonstrate competency in clinical assessment and status as a qualified professional to serve MH and SA populations.
Work Environment: Provides services in a community/jail setting.
