Breaking Barriers and Building Trust Supporting Mental Health in Every Community

In many communities, talking about mental health can feel difficult. Some people grow up hearing they should stay strong, keep things private, or “just push through.” But the truth is, mental health matters for everyone – no matter your background, culture, or where you live.

Across North Carolina, many individuals in Black, Latino, Asian, Indigenous, and other minority communities face unique challenges when it comes to getting help. These can include fewer resources, lack of nearby services, or fear of being judged. At Daymark Recovery Services, we’re working to break those barriers and build safe, welcoming spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on these challenges and remind everyone that mental health care should be accessible to all. At Daymark, we’re here to offer compassionate, affordable care for every person in every community.

You can walk into any Daymark location, visit a Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) open 24/7, or connect with a Mobile Crisis team that can come to you. No insurance? No problem.

If you need help, please reach out. You’re not alone – we care, and we’re ready to help
