FBC Services & Bed Availability

Daymark’s Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) Centers are here to provide compassionate, person-centered support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or concerns related to alcohol or substance use. We also provide specialized support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who may be experiencing emotional distress or substance use challenges.

We understand that reaching out during a crisis can feel overwhelming. Our FBC programs offer short-term inpatient services in a safe, supportive, and structured environment designed to promote stability and healing. Services may include individual therapy, group counseling and therapeutic groups, medication management when appropriate, and collaborative aftercare planning. We work alongside you to create a plan that supports your continued recovery and well-being beyond your stay.

Our adult FBC units serve individuals age 18 and older from any county in North Carolina. Our Child FBC units serve children and adolescents ages 6 through 17, with developmentally appropriate care that involves families and caregivers when possible and appropriate.

We believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, understanding, and respect. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to ask for help. You have options, and you are encouraged to choose the one that feels safest and most comfortable for you. You may:

  • Visit one of our outpatient centers
  • Go to a Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) in your community
  • Walk directly into an FBC center
  • Call our Central Referral Line at 336-300-8838

Support is available 24 hours a day. If you are unable to come to a Daymark location, you can call our 24-Hour Crisis Hotline for immediate assistance. You deserve support, and you do not have to navigate this alone.
