Daymark Recovery Services Receives Ittleson-Beaumont Fund Grant from First Citizens Bank to Support Integrated Healthcare in Rural North Carolina

Wilkes County, N.C. — October 27, 2025 —

Daymark Recovery Services, Inc., in partnership with Vaya Health, is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant from the IttlesonBeaumont Fund, administered by First Citizens Bank, to strengthen integrated behavioral and physical healthcare for residents in rural North Carolina.

The $5,000 grant will provide essential equipment and training for Daymark’s Shirley B. Randleman Facility-Based Crisis Program in Wilkes County, supporting the organization’s broader mission to inspire and empower people to seek and maintain recovery and health. The funding will enhance Daymark’s ability to deliver coordinated medical and behavioral care, allowing clinicians to more efficiently assess patients, develop treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care through secure, HIPAA-compliant technology.

“This investment directly supports our efforts to deliver high-quality, integrated healthcare in some of North Carolina’s most underserved communities,” said Billy R. West, Jr., CEO of Daymark Recovery Services. “With the support of First Citizens and Vaya Health, we are
better equipped to connect individuals in crisis to comprehensive treatment that addresses both their physical and behavioral health needs.”

The Wilkes County Facility-Based Crisis Center, opening July 1, 2025, provides detoxification and acute crisis stabilization services to individuals facing substance use and behavioral health challenges. The program anticipates serving approximately 1,000 individuals annually, many of whom experience co-occurring physical health conditions.

Together, Daymark Recovery Services, Vaya Health, and First Citizens Bank share a vision of improving health outcomes, reducing barriers to care, and enhancing recovery opportunities for individuals and families across North Carolina.
