We are thrilled to share that Daymark Recovery Services is now celebrating twenty years of dedicated service to the communities of North Carolina.
While founded in August of 2003, Daymark officially took over services from the Davidson County Mental Health Center (a county department of government) on January 1, 2004, and delivered our first day of services in Lexington on January 2, 2004. Over the past twenty years, we have provided care to 349,645 unduplicated persons.
At Daymark, we are passionate about whole-person care and the use of technology to improve the way we deliver it. At the recent i2i conference in Winston Salem, we were presented with an award that highlights our accomplishments in Technology Innovation. Both Billy West, CEO, and Jerold Greer, CIO, recognized various teams across the organization for their contributions to the delivery of Technology-Enabled Whole Person Care.
Daymark celebrated one year of Tailored Care Management (TCM) services on December 1, 2023. During the first year of this pivotal program, which allows eligible clients the opportunity to work with a care team to ensure all physical, behavioral and social health needs are met, 338 staff across the organization provided TCM services to more than 5,000 individuals throughout the communities of North Carolina. We look forward to many more years of providing TCM services.

A day mark symbolizes the often bright and, more importantly recognizable markings painted on lighthouses up and down the Atlantic and Pacific seaboards. As history states, sailors relied on these welcoming day marks during the daylight hours as a necessary tool to orient themselves to their exact location while traveling for sometimes days, weeks, or even months at a time. Waking in the early morning to the sight of a bright day mark in the distance reassured many they were often on the right track on their voyage.
